Right now is the best time to install sod!

September 16, 2011 by chanshareadmin 2 Comments

Early in the Spring and throughout the Fall are the best times to install sod!  The lower temperatures allow for less water to get the new turf established and we usually have more natural watering from Mother Nature.  So call and order your sod today!  We have some beautiful bluegrass that is ready for installation in your yard!!  Another benefit is that you won’t have to worry about as much mud being tracked into your house!!  Call today at 866-763-3279.  We will take good care of you!!

I didn’t know that spring and fall where the best time to install sod. I never think of getting a new lawn until it is summer and I want to be out enjoying it, so I guess I need to start planning in advance! How long does it take for the new turf to get established? What temperature is considered too hot to do this? Thanks for the help!

It takes about 4 weeks for roots to adhere to new soil. Any time the daily temperature rises above 85 degrees fahrenheit it will require more water and fertilizer to establish a newly planted lawn.
